Bison Guacamole Jalapeno Burgers

Celebrate the 4th of July, and welcome this delicious bison guacamole jalapeno burger to your summer picnics and cookouts.
Creamy guacamole and spicy jalapenos are included for a lean and flavorful burger. Better for you than store-bought red meat, this healthy bison burger brings the heat without the guilt.

Total Time: 28 minutes
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground bison
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp cumin
4 slices pepper jack cheese
4 brioche buns
Sliced red onion, lettuce
Guacamole:
2 ripe avocados
1 lime, juiced
1 clove garlic, minced
1–2 jalapenos, finely diced
1 tbsp chopped cilantro
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Mix ground bison with salt, pepper, and cumin. Form into 4 patties and chill for 15 minutes.
Grill over medium high heat for about 4 minutes per side, until medium doneness (135–145°F).
Toast the buns and melt pepper jack cheese on patties during the last minute.
In a bowl, mash avocados with lime juice, garlic, jalapenos, cilantro, and salt.
Assemble the grilled patties burgers with lettuce, red onion, and guac.
